{"id":31755,"date":"2023-10-10T15:47:50","date_gmt":"2023-10-10T14:47:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.herbadiberna.ch\/health-risks-from-designer-drugs-further-psychoactive-substances-banned\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T13:00:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T12:00:25","slug":"health-risks-from-designer-drugs-further-psychoactive-substances-banned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.herbadiberna.ch\/en\/blog\/health-risks-from-designer-drugs-further-psychoactive-substances-banned\/","title":{"rendered":"Health risks from designer drugs: Further psychoactive substances banned"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>IG Hemp, 10.10.2023<\/em> <em>(As a member of IG Hemp we distribute this post in our blog)<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the listing of several substances with a suspected psychoactive<br\/>effect in the Narcotics Schedule Ordinance in spring 2023<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/ighanf.ch\/hhc-in-der-schweiz-im-verzeichnis-des-betmvv-gelistet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">[1]<\/a><\/sup>On October 9, 2023, at the request of Swissmedic, the Federal<br\/>Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) inspected a further 10<br\/>individual substances and one group of substances in order to combat the misuse of new synthetic<br\/>substances as narcotics.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissmedic.ch\/swissmedic\/de\/home\/news\/mitteilungen\/gesundheitsrisiken_durch_designerdrogen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A substance group of synthetic cannabinoids as well as the individual substances HHCP, delta-9-<br\/>THCP, delta-8-THCP, H4CBD and other substances will be subject to authorization in Switzerland from October 9, 2023<br\/>and may not be manufactured, traded or dispensed.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedlex.admin.ch\/eli\/oc\/2023\/569\/de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a> Authorizations<br\/>can be applied for industrial and scientific use (Art. 7 para. 2 in conjunction with<br\/>Art. 4 and Art. 5 BetmG and BetmVV-EDI, Annex 6 List e). Cannabinoids naturally occurring in the hemp plant such as CBD, CBC, CBG are not affected by the ban<br\/>. <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.herbadiberna.ch\/en\/blog\/synthetic-cannabinoids\/\">Synthetic cannabinoids: what makes them so dangerous?<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IG Hemp Switzerland welcomes the listing of these substances as an important step towards protecting the health of<br\/>citizens. The listing has also created more legal certainty<br\/>for traders in Switzerland. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recurring listing of synthetic and semi-synthetic cannabinoids by the<br\/>EDI clearly shows that the problem has not been effectively resolved since 2011. Effective<br\/>health protection can only be ensured in a regulated market for hemp and hemp products. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sensible cannabis regulation forms the basis for the protection of young people and consumers,<br\/>quality assurance, the fight against the black market and the sustainable development of the<br\/>Swiss hemp industry.<\/p>\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\"><strong>About IG Hemp<\/strong>\nIG Hemp is the trade association of the Swiss cannabis industry.
