April 20 is an important day for us: 420, the World Hanging Day. In 2023, it was – at least for commuters at the stations in Bern and Zurich – also particularly gratifying. Together with the cuttings farm<\/a>, we gave away 11,000 CBD hemp cuttings to give the hemp plant the attention it deserves for one day.<\/p>\n\n

Thousands of train passengers were able to take home hemp cuttings in Zurich in the morning and in Bern in the afternoon. Many a proudly went home and may enjoy in the coming weeks and months from the beautiful green of the hemp plant. For us it was wonderful to see the joy in the faces and to discuss the diverse potential of the plant with interested people. The excellent atmosphere in the station halls is hard to put into words – luckily we had a great photographer on site \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n

The conclusion: a wonderful day and good for our morale. Because this action came about for less rosy reasons: The hemp industry is struggling in the face of a jungle of unclear regulations, rising energy costs and fierce global competition. Galaxus, for example, has removed hemp oils from its range because of the vague legal situation – despite huge demand.<\/p>\n\n
