Review of Cannatrade 2022

Now it’s been another few weeks since Cannatrade took place on the Expo grounds in Bern. The expectations were great, the influx huge. Almost 10,000 people flocked to the largest hemp fair ever held in Switzerland. Over 250 exhibitors from 40 countries were present, including of course us, Herba di Berna AG.

The Berner Zeitung headlined “The stoners are high again” (subscription) and reported extensively on the fair. Such media coverage is of course a success, but this title also leaves a lot out. Cannatrade was hardly about smoking pot: Food stands, CBD oils, possible applications of hemp fibers, medical products and news from research provided a diverse trade fair ambience.

Our booth also featured a variety of different products: from young plants to syrup, flowers and cosmetics, we had everything. Even without a wallet, you could benefit from our booth: We distributed 1,000 goodie sets to the crowd. The goodie boxes contained information about our company and our production as well as a selection of flowers and other products from our range. To our delight, the high-quality selection without unnecessary firelfanz – and without plastic – was very well received, and the boxes went like hot cakes.

But the most important thing about the whole fair was you and all the other customers, with whom we could personally exchange ideas. Selling products is also possible on the Internet, but it can be discussed much better at a trade fair. We heard from you what you like and what you wish, we could receive praise and criticism.
So it was insanely nice for us to hear so much encouragement for our living soil growing method. We are pleased that our investment in sustainability and quality is valued. Particularly at such a celebration of consumption, as every trade fair is to some degree, we definitely want to make a case for sustainable production.
